Sweet Peach Tea

Summer is here, and the time is now to lounge at the pool with a crisp and refreshing glass of sweet peach tea. This quick and easy summer recipe will quickly become a part of your summer routine! Customize your tea by garnishing with any of your favorite fresh herbs. Switch up the flavors and use any of your favorite stonefruit varieties with this sweet tea recipe!

Sweet Peach Tea
 6 black tea bags
 6 cups water (to brew tea)
 4 cups peach puree
 12 fresh sliced peaches (to garnish)
Simple Syrup
 3 cups granulated sugar
 3 cups water

Steep black tea bags in 6 cups of water for 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow tea to cool. When cool, place tea in serving pitcher.

In deep pan on stovetop combine sugar, 3 cups water, and peach puree. Cook on med-high heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture begins to thicken slightly. Remove from heat and strain out puree pulp from syrup and allow syrup to cool.

Once tea and peach syrup are cool, you can either combine the tea and syrup, or chill separately. To combine, pour syrup into tea and stir well, adding fresh peach slices to pitcher and place pitcher in refrigerator till chilled. To use syrup separately, chill tea with peach slices and peach syrup in separate serving containers, and when ready add desired amount of syrup to individual tea glasses.

Serve tea over ice and garnish with mint. Enjoy!
