Crockpot Mulled Wine with Navel Oranges
Warm up beside the fire with your loved ones and a glass of mulled wine that’s featuring hints of navel orange in every sip. No matter how cold it gets where you live, you’ll feel the warmth of this wine deep in your soul.
- 1/2 tsp whole cloves
- 1/2 tsp allspice berries
- 1/2 tsp dried juniper berries
- 2 star anise pods
- 1 large cinnamon stick
- 40 oz red wine of choice
- 1 cup of fresh juice from an organic navel orange
- 1 organic navel orange, sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
Add all ingredients into a crockpot and cook on low for 1-2 hrs. Strain and serve with a cinnamon stick for stirring. If serving for a party, keep crockpot on warm so that the wine stays hot throughout the night!
Makes approximately four 8oz servings.
